Every page on this site is built from the snapshots below. They are the exact bytes the build read, and each one is pinned to a checksum: if a download does not match its checksum the build stops rather than publishing something that drifted.

The original file in each, source.csv, is the same file this site read, byte for byte; the other formats there are made from it. This site fetched its copies from Queensland Health directly.

## How often this changes

The national collection is published once a year, usually around May; Queensland's quarterly figures four times a year. The site checks the sources daily and rebuilds automatically from a fresh pinned snapshot when a new release appears, so the table above always describes the data actually being served. An error in how a figure is shown is handled under [the corrections policy](https://surgerywaits.au/corrections/).

The source data is published under Creative Commons Attribution licences and stays under them. If you reuse it, attribute the original publisher, not this site — [the exact wording is on the attribution page](https://surgerywaits.au/attribution/).

This build covers 293 public hospitals, 151 surgery types and 12,926 hospital and surgery pairings.

Surgery Waits is not medical advice. It republishes official statistics about waiting times that have already happened, and it does not recommend any hospital, doctor or treatment. Your general practitioner (GP) and your treating specialist are the right people to help you decide what is appropriate for you.
